Uncle Matt's Visit

Mike's brother, Matt, came to visit us this past weekend from Chicago.  We had so much fun spending time with him, especially Ella...who loves her "Uncle Maaa".  He taught her how to kick a ball, give "high 5's", and he bought her (& us) a year pass to the Children's Museum in downtown Atlanta.  He also worked endlessly with Mike to baby-proof our home, put gutter guards on our roof, hang mirrors, put together Savannah's crib & changing table & all kinds of other things.  We loved just hanging out with him, bbq'ing, playing, etc.  Thank you Uncle Matt for visiting and for ALL you did!  Come back soon! Church with a really amazing park...

One of the things we miss about our home church, Mariner's, is the amazing children's area, classes and complete with whale sized playground.  This past weekend, we tried another new church and it had a full-blown park that they built for the community!  Ella had a blast, and so did we.  We'll see on the church ~ going to try it again next weekend and see how we can get more plugged in. happy 3rd anniversary...family style!

We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary last week...as a fam!  Since we still don't know anyone we trust enough to take care of our baby boo, we brought her along with us!  She enjoyed our delicious mexican dinner (actually the first decent mex. food since we've arrived) and our ice cream dessert afterwards.  Thank goodness for the squirrel out the window so we could at least have somewhat of a conversation :)

Beat the Heat

After a small "threat" to Mike that I was going to have a pool built if he didn't find me a kiddie pool for Ella and I to play in, his hunt paid off.  We finally found a $15 pool at a Toys r' Us in a nearby town.  It definitely beats 15 grand :)  Really, I was only kidding ~ but, it worked.
