Swinging at the H.B. Park

We joined the Johnson Family (Jenn, Brian & Emily) for a pb & j picnic in Huntington Beach today...Emily is 9 months old now and is way too cute...she sits up & even pulls herself to a standing position! It gives us a preview of what's to come with our Ella. We took Ella over to the swings and she had so much FUN! Daddy pushed her higher than Mommy would have liked, but Ella had a ball! I see many more swingset days in our future! Next up, the slide!

Seal Beach Sunday

We took Ella to Seal Beach to visit with Grandma & Grandpa Jeff. We got there a little early and took a walk on the pier...the only seal we saw was the statue on the pier though. Then we took a walk over to the grassy park and had a photo shoot with Grandma & Grandpa :) Ella loved to giggle at Hershey & Maggy (G & G's doggies)...her first interaction with dogs!

The Hungry Caterpillar

Ella August already loves to read...her favorite book right now is "The Hungry Caterpillar". I was shocked the other night when I was reading she reached out and turned the page! I thought maybe it was an accident, but then she continued to do it throughout the whole story...she's brilliant already :)

10 Seconds of Fame @ the Game

We went to another Angels game on Thursday night...they won again, but it was a close call! We had so much fun with the Caston's (as always) talking, eating peanuts, ice cream sandwiches & malts, and cheering on the Angles...BUT, the BEST part was when the boys handed over Kylie & Ella and right when they did, Meygan and I made them dance on our laps and we got on the BIG screen...TOO CUTE!

Slippery Fish

I love bathtime! I love to play with my toys, splash my mom and dad, and kick...my mom's favorite thing is to give me a shampoo and sing me silly songs...her personal fave, "Slippery Fish". My dadda loves to pour the water over my head and give me a tsunami splashdown!

Ella's First Bite... YUM!!!

So tonight we experimented a little bit and decided to give Ella her very first taste of solid food. Solid as it gets I guess... RICE CEREAL... aka... milky, mushy, squishy, put it on my face Mommy, goodness. It was a blast! She started off strong with a couple quick bites and gradually took it to the next level, by trying to take the bowl out of Mommy's hand and smearing it all over her face. Oh yeah baby stepping up to the Big Leagues!!!

Disneyland with the Heath's

Mike, Ella & I joined Joanna, Jeremiah, Owen & Elizabeth for a warm Sunday at Disneyland and California Adventure. We had so much fun taking turns riding the rides with & without the kiddos! Ella loved hanging with the "big kids". I loved seeing Joanna & Jeremiah because I appreciate them so much and just love watching them as a couple & parents...Mike enjoyed getting a preview of what is to come with Ella and other Fransz-inos.

Go Angels!

Go Angels! Ella had a blast at her very first baseball game (thank you Debbie & Scott)...she stayed awake all the way until the 9th inning. Angles beat the Minnesota Twins 7 - 5. What a fun way to spend a Saturday night! Although we didn't need the rally monkey during the game, we brought our own little monkey to cheer the Angels on :)

Our little Tadpole

Our tiny tadpole Ella loves to swim! She's already taking after her mommy. She doesn't mind kicking back in her shades either. She loves to kick under water & grab her toys. Thank you Kylie for letting me borrow your floaty & for inviting me to swim in your warm pool.

Happy Birthday Cori

In honor of Cori Brooks birthday, she had a "My favorite People" party at her house on Friday night...Ella & I went. Ella is her newest favorite person. We love you Cori! Happy 31st!

Picnic in the Park

We spent our Sunday afternoon with the Castons ~ Meygan, Casey & Kylie...soon to be pictured :) Yummy turkey sandwiches, ice cream from the Caston's and tons of giggles from the girls...so much fun to see Ella & Kylie together!

Monterey Bay

I had fun visiting my family in northern California...Ella and I got to spend time at the wharf eating clam chowder and walking around with the whole fam. Ella especially loved seeing her grammy & aunties!

Griffith Observatory

After waiting 5 years for the Griffith Observatory to be completed after extensive renovation, we took my sister Melissa & Ella to the observatory. Mike had never been to it either. We were able to catch the last spot in line to look at Jupiter through the telescope. It was a random, last minute fun adventure.

Happy Anniversary!

We celebrated our 2nd anniversary this year at the Happiest Place on Earth ~ Disneyland. While dating, Mike & I agreed that we wouldn't go to Disneyland until we had a kid. At 4 months old, Ella was able to go with us and actually ride the rides. She loved Dumbo, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and her favorite was the Finding Nemo submarine. Mike & I went back after leaving her with my friend Cori for the evening and hit all the coasters and the "big kid" rides...Space Mountain rocks! We closed the evening with an ice cream sundae and talking about 2 goals for year 2...love each other more and Baby Fransz #2.

Blog Beginners

After much thought and persuasion by Mike, Jessica finally relented to join the latest craze in technology and join the "blogger" world. So, we are blog beginners ~ excited to learn, create, and share our life with our family and friends...both near & far. Plus, it's a lot easier than sending individual emails & pics of Ella to everyone. We are having so many new adventures in parenting, why not share with all those who care to view, read & enjoy?
